Dr Mark Hill

Mark currently heads Radiation Biophysics within the Department of Oncology, University of Oxford. He has ~40 years of experience in the field of radiation biology and physics. The main focus of his work relates to understanding how differences in the temporal and spatial energy deposition along radiation tracks produced by different qualities of ionising radiation (on the scale of DNA, cells and tissue) drive biological response, and ultimately the associated human health implications. Over the years he has been involved with a number of notable national and international working groups and is currently a member of COMARE.
