A career in radiotherapy can be extremely rewarding if you can find the focus that suits your skills and interests. This meeting is intended to help guide those in the early years of their careers to understand the breadth of opportunity that a career in radiotherapy offers, and to help identify the most rewarding areas of development or practice for them.

Our speakers are leaders in their fields and will share their experience and their hopes and plans for the future in day of talks and discussions. They are:

  • Imogen Locke, Consultant Clinical Oncologist, Royal Marsden NHS Trust and National Specialty Advisor for Radiotherapy
  • Helen McNair, Lead clinical academic Therapeutic Radiographer and the Royal Marsden NHS Trust
  • Anthony Chalmers, Chair of Clinical Oncology at the University of Glasgow and Director of the CRUK RadNet centre Glasgow
  • Dan Low, Vice Chair and Director of Medical Physics at University of California in Los Angeles
  • Raj Jena, Consultant Clinical Oncologist and Professor in AI Radiation Oncology at the University of Cambridge
  • Marco Durante, Department Director at GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research and current President of the Particle Therapy Cooperative Group

Through meetings and other activities the LH Gray Memorial Trust works to honour the memory of Hal Gray, a distinguished British scientist who made important contributions to the application of radiation physics to biology and medicine.
